HEIW Pharmacy has an extensive range of resources that contribute to our CPD offering.

The NCSA hub provides the resources and pathways for community pharmacy teams to achieve the required accreditation and reaccreditation for all NHS clinical services provision.

Independent prescribing

Non-medical prescribing or independent prescribing is the term used to describe any prescribing completed by a healthcare professional other than a doctor or dentist. Independent prescribers are responsible and accountable for the assessment of patients with undiagnosed and diagnosed conditions and for decisions about the clinical management required, including prescribing.

Additional support is available for individuals to fund the training and development of staff that need to meet the requirements of the advanced practice framework, are aspiring advanced practitioners or require extended skills.
